New Short Film Set in New Zealand

The summer of January 2005 saw 12 girls from the New Zealand Sri Chinmoy Centre in the midst of some of the most stunning landscapes in New Zealand to shoot their latest short film 'The Heaviest Load' based on a short story by well known author and poet Sri Chinmoy.

Luckier than most to have on their back doorstep, vast and remote locations which were used in the making of the Lord of the Rings movies, these avid amateur movie makers had just 2 days at their disposal shoot the film. Their travels took them to such scenic spots as the majestic Mt Cook – New Zealand's tallest mountain, the turquoise blue lakes of Tekapo and the emerald green valleys, snow-capped mountains and glaciers of the Central Otago Highlands.

'The Heaviest Load' which is the fourth short film that the New Zealand girls have made, will be released in April Celebrations. It is a story with a moral and follows a group of seekers who embark on a long walk through varied countryside with their spiritual teacher. When they stop for a picnic they are in for a surprise and are taught a life-illumining lesson. A must see!
