Sri Chinmoy calls his artwork “Jharna-Kala”, which is Bengali for “fountain-art.” The name reflects the spontaneous fountain of creativity he experiences through meditation, expressed and revealed through an extraordinary output of paintings in a wide array of media and forms. A weekend gallery at The Arts Centre of Christchurch features Sri Chinmoy's artwork, predominantly his soul-bird paintings. Special events during the weekend include talks, lectures and concerts.

The concerts provide an opportunity to relax, meditate and immerse yourself in the uplifting compositions of Sri Chinmoy performed by members of the Sri Chinmoy Centre in Christchurch. Using a variety of instruments from around the world, this sublime music is a unique blend of Eastern and Western traditions... a must for all lovers of vocal music. Followed by light refreshments.
